Mile Slip Conservation Land trails have great potential, but are in need of a lot of work to define the trails, clear the trail-way, blaze trails and provide signs to help direct the hiker. To put it in today's terms - upgrade the infrastruture.

Another Milford Conservation Land that has a lot of potential for recreation is called Mile Slip at the end of Mile Slip Road which off Mason Road. As was stated above there is work for everybody on the Milford Trails.

The work on the Mayflower Hill Trail was performed by the CLMC members and also by volunteers. The CLMC wants to incourage people to learn about the Milford trails and to help in maintaing them. There are a variety of tasks to meet any age and

skill levels. Here you can see a volunteer doing a couple of different jobs. The blur in the left picture is due to the rapid motion of the volunteer.

Mayflower Hill (north of the oval) was identified as the trail to work out standards that would be used for other trails in Milford. Along with that the trail was re-blazed, re-signed and re-worked. The Scouts provided some power in clearing brush for a better view.

In the picture you can see a doe that blends nicely with the surrounding. She looks very content in her renovated home.

Introduction
The citizens of Milford, NH have been very generous over the years in providing money for the acquistion of land to be resered for recreational use. A substantial number of trails have been create on this land. The purpose of this blog is to show acivities that are taking from place from July 2008 on the town trails to bring a consistancy to the system for ease of access, enjoyment, and safety.
